Chimie et modélisation pour la biologie du cancer (CMBC)

Laboratory presentation

The central activity of the CMIB unit is to develop small molecules to investigate and control the biological activities of the main targets involved in cancer. These are essentially non-B (quadruplex) nucleic acid structures and kinases. IR-photoexcitable probes designed for both subcellular monitoring and targeted photo-aging are also important research axes. The drug and probe design activity is supported by the molecular modeling approach and Multimodal imaging (TEM, NanoSIMS, MRI). These approaches include the development of image processing and analysis methods as well as the design of software tools and protocols for biology imaging. The CMIB unit hosts the Institut Curie-CNRS library, 9000 chemical compounds, preclinical MRI imaging and chemical imaging platforms.
